Kathy Jensen

Kathy, who holds NYS certification as a Special Education teacher, received training in Alphabetic Phonics at Teachers College, Columbia University, in 1985.  She is a certified Academic Language Therapist, and was co-founder of Hartland School for elementary school students having dyslexia and related reading disorders.  Kathy has taught in public school settings and as a private tutor.
 
 

Roberta Read

A NYS certified special education teacher, Roberta completed training in Alphabetic Phonics at Teachers College, Columbia University in 2003.  She is a certified Academic Language Therapist, and has taught in public school settings and as a private tutor.

 

 
 
Linda Dalton

Linda has successfully homeschooled her seven children for fifteen years.  She took Alphabetic Phonics teacher training with five Schenectady teachers; this two year training was conducted by an instructor from Teachers College, Columbia University. Linda has been using AP in the public schools for the past 5 years.



Lisa Fine

Lisa, whose first career was in nursing, developed her interest in dyslexia because all three of her children have been affected by this learning disability.  She has had two years of on-the-job training in Alphabetic Phonics and is currently a teaching assistant in a local public school.
